About Lifeline Australia
Lifeline is a trusted national charity that has been saving lives for more than 50 years.
We’re on the frontline of the national suicide emergency – we believe that suicide is preventable and that the offer of immediate, caring and non-judgemental support can make a lifesaving difference to those who aren’t travelling well.
This year, our 13 11 14 crisis line (24/7) and nightly online Crisis Support Chat services will receive more than a million requests for help.
Our 11,000 staff and volunteers across Australia – including more than 4000 highly-trained Crisis Supporters – understand the importance of each of these requests. It’s our goal to be there for every Australian where and when they need assistance.
